Christmas time is here! There’s nothing better than a piping hot cup of your favorite coffee to celebrate. Or maybe there is? Check out this seasonal recipe for the perfect cup of Christmas coffee. Christmas Coffee

(10 servings)

1 pot of coffee (10-cup equivalent)

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch grated nutmeg
  • whipping cream for topping

Prepare pot of coffee.

In a medium sauce pan, heat water to a low boil. Add sugar, cocoa, cinnamon and nutmeg. Bring back to a low boil for about a minute – stirring occasionally. 

Combine coffee and cocoa/spice mixture and serve topped with whipped cream.


For the sugar, baker’s sugar is the best to use because of its smaller, quicker to dissolve granules.

If you make too much, just jug it up and simmer in a saucepan to serve later.
